Joey Castillo is an American musician best known as the former drummer for the bands Queens of the Stone Age, Danzig, and Eagles of Death Metal. He was born on March 30, 1966 in Gardena, California. Castillo joined Queens of the Stone Age in 2002 and played on their albums "Lullabies to Paralyze" and "Era Vulgaris" before departing in 2012. He then went on to join Danzig as their drummer from 2002 to 2011. Castillo has also worked with various other artists and bands including Mark Lanegan, Scott Weiland, and Zakk Wylde. He is known for his powerful drumming style and solid rhythmic foundation.
